QU’s Fourth Annual Alumni Day Rescheduled

Quincy University has rescheduled its fourth annual QU Alumni Day to be held on Tuesday, March 1. Alumni Day is held each year in honor of the university’s first day of classes, on February 6, 1860. QU alumni are encouraged to wear a QU Alumni button and QU gear to work and attend the day’s events.

“Alumni day has become a tradition at QU, and we wanted to make sure we were still able to celebrate this year despite the weather,” said Matt Bergman, senior director of advancement. “With 14,000 plus QU alumni living in all 50 states and 30 foreign countries, our graduates have a huge impact not only in our region but around the world.”

A modified schedule includes the alumni lunch, an evening alumni gathering and virtual alumni college sessions. Alumni can enjoy lunch courtesy of fellow alumnus Luis Barnes ’89 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the QU Cafeteria (18th & Lind St.). In the evening, alumni are encouraged to attend “Hawk’s Hangout” in the Hawk’s Nest (18th & Lind St.) and enjoy appetizers, desserts and a cash bar from 4:30-8 p.m. Two virtual alumni college sessions will be available on the website at https://www.quincy.edu/alumni-day/. Alumni who attend any event will receive a 2022 Alumni Day t-shirt.
