Updates to the PDE program due to COVID 19:

  • All online courses are available.
  • Some of our summer Onsite Courses (formerly called workshops) will be held at Noll Pavilion in Springfield, IL.  With Illinois being in Phase 4 of Restore Illinois Plan, we are able to open registration for the courses at Noll Pavilion to 21 students. The room capacity at Noll Pavilion is 45, which at 50% capacity in Phase 4 will allow for 21 students and 1 instructor.
  • Update as of 5/19/2020: Some of our summer Onsite Courses (formerly called workshops) will be held online with a combination of Zoom and Google Classroom. The dates and times are not changed.
  • Reach out to PDE@quincy.edu with any questions or for assistance to enroll in a course.


Through Professional Development in  Education (PDE), we provide innovative teaching and learning opportunities to accommodate your professional development needs. The School of Education at Quincy University has been offering professional development opportunities since 1994.  Our programs are designed to help you pursue professional development and lifelong learning through workshops, lectures, seminars, courses, and conferences across a wide range of subjects.

Onsite professional learning courses include seminar/classroom style presentations. Planned school district in-services are tailor made by each school district. Online professional learning courses include Virtual Education Software, Inc. These learning options are accredited as graduate level study by QU’s Oversight Committee.
