The Office of Student Engagement has been busy preparing for your arrival! Please read through the information below and take note if it applies to you. The HFC (Health & Fitness Center) for our new students is located on the main campus, on Oak Street. Please enter in the HFC through the Main Entrance (the on campus entrance, not the Oak Street entrance). Make sure you have taken care of all responsibilities in the Student Financial Services Office, registering for classes, turning in your immunizations, completing your housing contract, and University Advancement so that you can move through check-in quickly or so you are able to check-in.
Check-in Dates: ALL STUDENTS WHO TAKE CLASSES ON CAMPUS MUST PARTICIPATE
All Check-Ins are located in the Health and Fitness Center. The HFC for our new students is located on the main campus, on Oak Street. If you are not here for your specific check-in time, you will be assigned another check-in day and time when its available. Check-in times will be emailed to students at a later date as I am still working on it. All students and families must wear masks while checking in.
July 24: All students currently living on campus
July 26: All Graduate Assistants and Graduate Students, Employees
July 31: Men and Women Soccer, Women’s Volleyball
August 1: Football
August 8: All first-year students (except those that have moved in for fall sports)
August 11: Band, Cross Country, Cheer, Dance, Golf, All Sophomore Nursing Students
August 14: Off-Campus Returners, Off-Campus Transfer Students
August 15: Residential Returning Students, Residential Transfer Students
Housing and Roommate Information:
Please look at your QU email for housing and roommate information. Andrea is still working on this if you are a new student. If you are a returner and don’t have any housing information please email her at email@example.com.
First Year and Transfer Orientations:
- First-year students, Orientation Week, begins with check-in on Saturday, August 8, 2020, and ends Sunday, August 16, 2020.
- For transfer students, Orientation Weekend begins with check-in on Saturday, August 15, 2020, and ends Sunday, August 17, 2020.

This year we will not be able to accommodate early arrivals.
When arriving at campus, students must attend their respective check-in process in the Health and Fitness Center unless otherwise directed by Student Development. The check-in entrance will be located in the Hall of Fame Room, by Lot A.
All students will receive a check-in time and will need to be here during the time that will be provided. Check-in outside of this time cannot be accommodated and will need to be rescheduled for another day.
To ensure a smooth check-in, please bring your QU ID with you. If you do NOT have a QU ID because you are a new student or have lost your ID, please take a picture using the following guidelines and email the PDF picture, your name as used for registration, your student ID number to firstname.lastname@example.org
“Selfie” Photo Requirements:
- PDF or JPEG format
- As neutral background as possible
- Use flash
- No hats or headgear unless required for religious purposes
- No sunglasses
- Must be a current photo that accurately represents a person’s appearance the day the photo is submitted
- Must be no further away than a head-and-shoulders photo
- Must be a straight-on photo- no turned heads or angle shots
- Can not be photo-shopped or edited
- Yes, you can smile!
- QU Security reserves the right to ask the student to come to the Security office for another ID photo.
Don’t forget classes officially begin on August 17 at 8 am.
Move In Information:
When arriving at campus, students must attend their respective check in process in the Health and Fitness Center unless otherwise directed by Residence Life. The check-in entrance will be located on the North Entrance side of the facility.
To ensure a smooth check in, please bring your QU ID with you. If you do not have a QU ID, you may get one that day or come on campus before check-in to pick up your ID.
Prior to Check-In:
Please make sure you have taken care of all responsibilities in the Business Office, The Office of Financial Aid, and University Advancement so that your check-in can be quick.
Also, it is important that you have any issues taken care of before coming back on campus, including any holds or any financial aid/business office issues. If you are unsure, please contact Student Financial Services, and they will help you.
