Dear Class of Class of 2027 and Transfer Students:

Welcome to Quincy University!

We are so excited that you have chosen QU for your next academic journey and hope you also feel the excitement and anticipation. You will hear these words often over the next couple of months, and the first few weeks you are here in August. You are about to experience one of the most exciting times in your life, and we are thrilled you are joining our campus community.
The Office of Student Development is working hard to prepare for your arrival in August 2023. The official check-in/move-in day for all new students will be in mid-August, and the date will be announced soon. Members of the Quincy University Marching Band and fall athletics will have an earlier check-in/move-in day which will be communicated to you by your coach or band director.
One of the most memorable experiences for Quincy University students is New Student Orientation, which is filled with many QU traditions. Orientation is mandatory for all students coming to Quincy Univerisity. It is designed to help you transition to college life academically, personally, and socially and this is where you will learn what it means to be a Hawk!
Before you begin your journey on our campus in August, we have set up a mandatory pre-orientation for all our students, Hawk Bound. During Hawk Bound, you will be able to see your academic schedule and speak with faculty, speak to Student Financial Services, connect with various offices on campus and tour the campus again.
All students who have paid their enrollment fee will be able to sign up for Hawk Bound and sign their housing contract starting in November 2022. There are many Hawk Bound dates to choose from, and you only need to attend one of those dates. The dates are:
• April 29, 2023
• June 1, 2023
• June 2, 2023
• June 8, 2023
• June 15, 2023
• June 22, 2023
• June 29, 2023
• July 6, 2023
• July 13, 2023
• July 20, 2023 (Virtual Hawk Bound for those living further than 5 hours away from the university.)We are currently working on the Hawk Bound schedule and your orientation schedule and will share that as soon as all the details are finalized! The website will become an essential resource for you and your family, including checking your QU email.
Until we meet at Hawk Bound and again in August, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions. We are excited to welcome you to Quincy University and cannot wait to experience this journey with you.
