Quincy University will host a Virtual Discovery Day on March 20. Discovery Days are scheduled throughout the year specifically for prospective students. Students and their families will join other prospective students for special virtual programming and events geared toward giving them a firsthand look at life at QU.

“Discovery Day provides prospective students a chance to explore all that Quincy University has to offer. With our virtual platform, we hope more students than ever before will take the opportunity to meet with our staff, faculty and current students to see if QU is the best fit for them,” said Brittany Weise, director of admissions.  “Our virtual experience will feature a Q&A session with our “experts,” a student panel and divisional sessions run by faculty within their respective majors.”

Discovery Day will begin with a welcome from Quincy University President, Brian McGee, Ph.D., the university admission staff and the QU Chamber Choir. Students and parents will then have the opportunity to meet with university representatives and current students to ask questions and learn more about campus life in two different panel discussions. Following the panel discussion, QU experts will be available for a Q&A about academics, dining services, financial aid, security, athletics and student programming on campus.

Later in the day, students can choose a Divisional Session to hear from faculty about majors in their division, as well as an in-depth look at each major. Divisions include the School of Business, School of Education, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Fine Arts & Communication, Humanities, and Science & Technology. All sessions will be recorded. Please email admissions@quincy.edu if you would like a copy of a Divisional Session.

Closing events include the QU Pep Band playing the QU Fight Song and the announcement of the raffle winners. The top prize is an IPad Mini and you must be in attendance at the time of the raffle to win.
