Students from Quincy University and Culver-Stockton College will jointly present The Billy Goats Gruff: A Children’s Opera in One Act with music by Mozart, Donizetti, and Rossini and English text set by John Davies.

There will be two performances on May 5. The first performance will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Quincy Public Library Puppet Room, 526 Jersey Street. The second performance will be at 7:30 p.m. at Culver-Stockton College Merillat Chapel Recital Hall in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center, One College Hill, Canton, Mo.

The performances feature Bri Berger, soprano; Lance Frederick, tenor; Chloe Jenson, soprano; and Hayden Roberts, baritone. The performance will be conducted by Scott Allison, assistant professor of music at Culver-Stockton, and accompanied by pianist Kristin Ramseyer, assistant professor of vocal music and director of choirs at QU.
