Quincy University will host its Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 10, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Pepsi Arena, 1800 College Avenue. The 2022 graduating class is comprised of 62 undergraduate and 10 graduate degree recipients.
University marshal Robert Mejer, M.F.A., distinguished professor of art, and assistant marshals David Kirchhofer, Ph.D. and Scott Luaders, Ph.D., professors of physics and chemistry, will lead the procession. President Brian McGee, Ph.D., will convene the ceremony. Jessica Howell, director of campus ministry, will deliver the invocation. Reverend John Doctor O.F.M., vice president for mission and ministry, will deliver the benediction. President Brian McGee, Ph.D., will give closing remarks. QU students and graduates, Madison Brueck, Evan Conover, Rebecca Detering, and Adam Liesen will perform the National Anthem and the Quincy University Alma Mater. Marsha Kelliher, J.D., LL.M., will deliver the commencement address.

Marsha Kelliher is the president of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Prior to joining Simpson, she was the president of Walsh College in Detroit, Michigan. She has served as the Dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA, and the Dean of the School of Management and Business at St. Edward’s University, Austin, TX. Kelliher earned an LL.M. in Labor and Employment Law from the University of San Diego and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. Kelliher’s accreditation experience includes serving on the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and Higher Learning Commission peer-review teams.
