QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy University will once again light up Friars’ Field (20th and College) with ten hot air balloons on Thursday, September 22. This free, family-friendly event will start at 6:00 p.m. The balloons will light up from 7:15 – 8:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. from various vendors including TCBY, 8te Open, Tasty J’s, Melton’s Concessions, Wine on Broadway, Hebrews XI Coffee, Lemonade Factory, The Pizza Wagon, Tri-State SnoBiz.

On Friday, September 23 at daybreak, the balloons will take off from Friars’ Field, weather permitting.

Quincy Recycle is this year’s major event sponsor. Other sponsors include Adams Fiber, Pinnacle Propane, Holiday Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Mobile Entertainer, Refreshment Services Pepsi, Ameren Illinois, WGEM, Cell Tech, Shelter Insurance Agent Lisa Freed, and Marie’s Boutique.
