Quincy University associate professor and Graduate Counseling Program director, Dr. Ken Oliver, recently presented at the Illinois Counseling Association Conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Dr. Oliver presented a 50-minute workshop entitled, Community Wellness Fairs as a Tool to Promote Integrated Service Delivery in Rural Areas. The workshop chronicled the process Oliver and several students undertook to develop and conduct a Community Wellness Fair as a function of servant leadership and advocacy. The wellness fair was the culmination of an assignment in a Servant Leadership and Advocacy course in spring 2016. The presentation also provided a framework for implementing similar fairs in rural areas as a means of promoting professional collaboration and enhanced client care.
