Quincy University Hosts #BRanding Series for Students
Quincy University Center of Professional Excellence, Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Club, Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) Club, and the Finance Club – ENACTUS, will host a three-day #Branding Series on October 3rd, 10th, and 24th, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the QU Hall of Fame Room (18th & Oak St).
This #Branding Series is split into three sections: #myidentity, #mybrand, #mylegacy, that will educate students on how to brand themselves as a professional. The first session, #myidentity on October 3rd, will focus on knowing your brand. This leadership workshop will help students identify their strengths as a professional using Real Colors®; a personality and temperament assessment. This provides participants the ability to understand their behavior and understand behaviors in those around them to become a more effective leader and team member. The exercise will help uncover motivators in each personality type and assist students in relating and communicating more effectively with others.
The second session, #mybrand on October 10th, will focus on personal branding and managing your brand. Bryan Langston, General Manager of Illinois Warehouses for DOT Foods, will walk students through some aspects of beginning to establish their personal brand. Area business people will be on hand for students to discuss their brand.
The third and final session, #mylegacy on October 24th, will focus on practicing your brand. Students will learn about the DOT Partnership Program and meet managers from all areas, which is a great networking opportunity for students looking for internships.
