Quincy University announces the appointment of Daniel Queathem as Vice President for University Advancement.

Queathem joined QU in 2024 and has served in senior advancement leadership. As vice president for university advancement, Queathem will now lead the university’s fundraising, donor relations, alumni engagement and communications efforts.

“Dan brings a people-first approach to advancement that’s already making a visible impact,” said Brian McGee, PhD, president of Quincy University. “He has a clear vision, strong execution, and a deep commitment to our Catholic and Franciscan mission. With Dan’s leadership, we will continue to improve relationships with our alumni and friends, expand support for students, and continue to build on QU’s strong momentum.”

Queathem has more than a decade of experience guiding mission-driven organizations through annual giving programs, capital campaigns and donor communications. He has led campaigns totaling more than $120 million, directed annual giving programs reaching hundreds of thousands of households annually, and trained over 500 nonprofit leaders and volunteers.

“At QU, our donors are true partners in our mission,” said Queathem. “I’m grateful to serve alongside our dedicated advancement team, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the QU community to ensure more students have access to a transformative QU education.”

As vice president for university advancement, Queathem will work closely with the president, Board of Trustees, and senior leadership to advance Quincy University’s mission and priorities. His focus will be on strengthening the philanthropic and community partnerships that sustain the university, expanding alumni and donor engagement, and helping ensure the vision and momentum of recent years continue to build a strong foundation for generations to come.
