QU Music Department to Host Pop Concert

The Quincy University Music Department will host its annual QU Bands Pop Concert on Sunday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m. at Quincy University’s Connie Niemann Center for Music (18th and Seminary Road). The concert is free and open to the public.

QU Bands Pop Concert will feature the QU Hawk Marching Band and Symphonic Band, under the direction of assistant professor of music and director of bands, Bill Machold. The QU Hawk Marching Band will begin with music from their fall halftime shows featuring Disney classics and the Hawk Drumline will perform their various drum cadences from the season. The QU Symphonic Band will follow with festive music including, Festivo by Vaclav Nelhybel, Riverfest by James Barnes and Festival De La Noches by Chandler Wilson.
