Quincy University launched its 2018-19 QU Fund drive with a $1.1M goal on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the first home football game of the year. Last year, the QU Fund drive raised $1,064,390 in support of campus improvements, technology enhancements and student scholarships.

“We are grateful that we have exceeded our $1M QU Fund goal for the last eight years.  At the same time, the cost of educating students for future leadership continues to rise.  To address this reality and achieve financial sustainability, we are raising our QU Fund goal this year and will be making subsequent increases in the years to follow,” said Julie Bell, vice president of advancement.

Chairpersons for this year’s campaign are Michael ’90 and Kristine (Burkemper) Bickhaus ’89. They are active community supporters and members of St. Francis Solanus Parish. Kristine is a stay at home mom caring for the couple’s seven children. Michael is the managing partner of the Schmiedeskamp Robertson Neu and Mitchell LLP law firm. They have been generous supporters of QU for years.

“Quincy University provides a unique Christian Catholic educational opportunity for its students that stimulates positive effects on our region and beyond.  That is why we continue to support QU. Since our graduation from QU we have watched and supported its progress from Quincy College to Quincy University to the quality educational institution it is today,” said Michael and Kristine Bickhaus, this year’s QU Fund co-chairs. We look forward to supporting the future of QU and hope that fellow alumni and their community will join us in supporting the QU Fund Drive this year.”
