The Quincy University Hawk Express Jazz Band will perform its Spring Jazz Showcase Concert on Sunday, April 2 at 3:00 p.m. at Quincy University’s Connie Niemann Center for Music at 17th & Seminary Road. The concert is free and open to the public.

The QU Hawk Express Jazz Band will perform a wide array of jazz tunes including Leap Frog, Fowl Play, Jeannine, In Earnest, and The Pink Panther.  The Jazz Band is under the direction of Christine Damm, DMA, dean of the school of fine arts and communication.

Junior Music Education major, Phil Haverstock, will be featured on the Baritone Saxophone on the bluesy tune, Bari, Bari, Good.  Vocalists, Joe Niemerg and John Beisner, will be featured on the classic swing tune Straighten Up and Fly Right.
