Several works of Quincy University’s Robert Lee Mejer, distinguished professor of art have been selected for international and national exhibitions.

William Scariato, chair of fine arts at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. selected Mejer’s monotype assemblegraph print “Variant 1-PC #26” and his watercolor “Take PC Open Book #2” for exhibition in the Illinois State Fair Professional Art Exhibition-Artisan Building in Springfield, Ill. that runs from August 12 – 22, 2021.

Juror, Illinois artist Ken Call selected Mejer’s watercolor “Take PC #18-Revisited” for inclusion in the Missouri Watercolor Society 2021 International Exhibition held in St Louis at the MOWS Gallery. The exhibition will run from August 27 – October 2 and includes 79 paintings selected from 27 states and five foreign countries.

Director and Co-Owner of Universal Limited Editions Larissa Goldston selected Mejer’s watercolor “Take PC Open Book #3” for inclusion in the Cimarron National Works on Paper Exhibition at the Gardiner Gallery of Art at Oklahoma State University Bartlet Center, in Stillwater, Okla. The exhibition will run from August 16 – September 17, 2021, with a closing reception on September 14, featuring a talk from Larissa Goldston.

Mejer’s watercolor “Take PC: Open Book #4” was selected for inclusion in the Quadrennial Department of Art Faculty and Alumni Show at Miami University Art Museum, in Oxford, Ohio, from August 24 – December 11, 2021.

Mejer has been a distinguished professor of art, Gray Gallery Curator and Art Program coordinator at Quincy University since 1968. He is an Illinois artist, painter, printmaker, juror and visiting artist.
