Professor and Student Present at Counseling Conference

Graduate Counseling Program student, Lauren Baker, and Quincy University Associate Professor and Counseling Program Director, Dr. Ken Oliver, each recently presented at the Illinois Counseling Association Conference in Skokie, Illinois.  Ms. Baker presented a poster session entitled, “Counseling the transgender client: Special issues and best practice competencies” that was well received by conference attendees. Dr. Oliver presented a 50-minute workshop entitled, “The courage to publish in the Journal of Counseling in Illinois.” Oliver currently serves as Co-Editor for the journal.
