Mejer Invited to International Watercolor Exhibition
Robert Lee Mejer, QU Distinguished Professor of Art, has been invited, as one of twenty American Watercolorists, to exhibit his watercolor “Variant: Mappings III” in the International Fabriano in Watercolor 2016 Exhibition in conjunction with the International Fabriano (Italy) in Acquarello Convention.
Artists from 32 countries will be participating in this event which will be held April 21-24 in Fabriano, Italy with the exhibition to run through May 15, 2016.
American Artists exhibition will be showcased in the Paper Museum in Fabriano, Italy. Fabriano is the oldest continuously operating paper mill in Italy (Western World) founded in 1272.
“Fabriano in Acquarello promotes meeting, cooperation and creative exchange between international watercolorists. It supports the traditional techniques and at the same time wants to incentive new creativity and avant-garde for the involvement of new genearations. The convention has no commercial or political purposes of any kind, but intends to be operativel base of brotherhood and seed for peace culture.”

My watercolor “Cloud Break” currently exhibited in the national Illinois Watercolor Society National Members’ Show @ The Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook, Illinois received an Award of Honorable Mention.
My monotype assemblegraph “Symphony” was selected for exhibition in the 36th Annual National Print Exhibition at Artlink. The exhibition will be held From April 22-May 25, 2016 at the Artlink Contemporary Art Gallery, Fort Wayne, IN.
