Program Director of Physical Therapy
Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, is seeking a Program Director for a new Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The Program Director is a faculty member at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, with administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- The Program Director will lead the design, development, and implementation of the new program according to the guidelines of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), and will be responsible for attaining and maintaining CAPTE accreditation.
- In conjunction with the Dean and the Provost, the Program Director will hire the Director of Clinical Education and other faculty for the DPT program, and assist in facilitating clinical opportunities for DPT students through local and regional partnerships.
- The Program Director will manage the curriculum, instruction, and daily operations of the DPT program, teach part-time, and collaborate with the Office of Graduate Studies to identify and recruit prospective students.
Qualifications:
- An earned Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and the potential for Illinois licensure within six months of the date of hire. Alternatively, an earned terminal degree in a supportive area such as biology, human physiology, biomechanics, or exercise science, and an earned MPT with the potential for Illinois licensure as stated.
- A minimum of six years of full-time experience in higher education, including a minimum of three years of full-time experience as a core faculty member in a CAPTE accredited entry level PT program.
- A publication record documenting national recognition in the area of research.
- A record that merits appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
- Knowledge of CAPTE standards and requirements for developing programs.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Administrative experience and experience in the development of a graduate program in Physical Therapy are desired.

ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER
Quincy University’s Athletic Training Department is currently accepting applications for full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work as part of the Athletic Training Staff in providing the highest level of health care for a diverse population of student-athletes and various NCAA Division II sports. Specific sport assignments will be determined by Head Athletic Trainer and may include: Football, Women’s Lacrosse, and Cheer and Dance. These sport assignments have the potential to be changed and will be assigned at the discretion of the Head Athletic Trainer.
Essential Responsibilities for both positions include but are not limited to the following:
- Serves as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the QU community and with the public.
- Provide Athletic Training coverage for Football, Women’s Lacrosse, and Cheer & Dance; this includes practices and event (home/away).
- Work directly with the team physician, coaches, local hospital, and rehabilitation centers to coordinate treatment of Quincy University student-athletes.
- Provide coaches with the appropriately updated injury reports in a timely manner.
- Administer all athletic training documentation (insurance forms, injury reports, physical forms, etc.).
- Assist in managing all insurance claim documentation and insurance pre-certifying (making sure proper coverage for medical services locally or referred by team physician will be covered under primary insurance provider). This includes completing incident reports online for secondary insurance purposes in a timely manner and maintaining proper insurance documentation.
- Manage and care for all athlete files generated and updated on a yearly basis for new and returning athletes.
- Required team travel with various sports.
- Provide excellent communication to coaching staff, parents, and athletes.
- Assist with the supervision all aspects of the University’s athletic training facilities and the provision of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist in establishing appropriate policies and procedures in conjunction with the Athletic Training Staff and potential assistance in the supervision and clinical supervision of Athletic Training Students.

- Enhance the strong working relationship with the Office of Student Financial Services to execute financial aid leveraging strategies, to increase communication and efficiency, and share information regarding costs, aid, and process with prospective students and their families.
- Partner with the University’s marketing staff on marketing communications strategy that will reach, influence, and compel prospective students and their families to consider Quincy University, including direct mail and email campaigns, print publications, digital strategy, and the website.
- Collaborate with the Vice President to lead the admissions team in evaluating, implementing, and leveraging technology to innovate, increase operational efficiency, and meet the expectations of students and families.

Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervises and evaluates all housekeeping employees to ensure quality assurance.
- Hires, supervises, reviews, and trains housekeeping employees; conducts staff meetings to share department strategy, goals, and other information; trains staff on usage of equipment, proper cleaning techniques, and proper safety techniques.
- Manages budget for the housekeeping department; manages the physical resources, determines equipment and supplies needed; procures additional equipment, supplies, and materials with the approval of the Director
- Assists custodial staff on specific jobs to facilitate their training and works with project personnel on floor work, moves, and set-ups.
- Cleans and services campus facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager Qualifications:
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Lift objects (up to 25 pounds)
- Climb stairs
- Stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Sit, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager Experience:
- 2 years of commercial cleaning experience
- 1-year supervisory experience
