ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER

Quincy University’s Athletic Training Department is currently accepting applications for full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work as part of the Athletic Training Staff in providing the highest level of health care for a diverse population of student-athletes and various NCAA Division II sports. Specific sport assignments will be determined by Head Athletic Trainer and may include: Football, Women’s Lacrosse, and Cheer and Dance. These sport assignments have the potential to be changed and will be assigned at the discretion of the Head Athletic Trainer.

Essential Responsibilities for both positions include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Serves as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the QU community and with the public.
  2. Provide Athletic Training coverage for Football, Women’s Lacrosse, and Cheer & Dance; this includes practices and event (home/away).
  1. Work directly with the team physician, coaches, local hospital, and rehabilitation centers to coordinate treatment of Quincy University student-athletes.
  2. Provide coaches with the appropriately updated injury reports in a timely manner.
  3. Administer all athletic training documentation (insurance forms, injury reports, physical forms, etc.).
  4. Assist in managing all insurance claim documentation and insurance pre-certifying (making sure proper coverage for medical services locally or referred by team physician will be covered under primary insurance provider). This includes completing incident reports online for secondary insurance purposes in a timely manner and maintaining proper insurance documentation.
  5. Manage and care for all athlete files generated and updated on a yearly basis for new and returning athletes.
  6. Required team travel with various sports.
  7. Provide excellent communication to coaching staff, parents, and athletes.
  8. Assist with the supervision all aspects of the University’s athletic training facilities and the provision of necessary equipment and supplies.
  9. Assist in establishing appropriate policies and procedures in conjunction with the Athletic Training Staff and potential assistance in the supervision and clinical supervision of Athletic Training Students.
  10. Abide by the policies, regulation, and rules of the NCAA, NATA, GLVC conference,
    and Quincy University including the Quincy University Code of Ethics.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer & Director of Athletics.

Candidates must currently possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; National Athletic Trainer Association- Board of Certification (NATA-BOC) and Illinois Athletic Training License (or eligible).
  • Current CPR/AED Certification.

Website Manager

Quincy University seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Website Manager in the Office of University Advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains everything related to the university websites
  • Develops and executes strategies for optimizing web content for search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Monitors and tracks performance analytics of the university website to measure and generate long-term value and strategy.
  • Manages process for building new websites including vendor selection and development process.
  • Implements updates, upgrades, and patches promptly to limit the loss of services and keeps the site up-to-date
  • Conducts content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information

Qualifications:

Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach

  Quincy University, A NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant-Women’s Lacrosse Coach

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with the members of the QU community and with the
  • All aspects of recruitment including – scouting perspective student athletes, organizing staff recruiting calendar schedules, and the coordination of on campus recruit
  • Assists in coaching, and training student athletes
  • Assist and coordinate with camp & clinics
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Head Coach

Admission Counselor

Quincy University invites qualified applicants for two full-time Admission Counselor positions.  Reporting to the Director of Admission, Admission Counselor play an integral role in realizing the University’s overall enrollment goals through the recruitment of new students.  Ideal candidates will enjoy engaging with prospective students, articulating the relevance of a liberal arts and sciences education in a community grounded and informed by Franciscan values and the University’s Catholic heritage.  Admission Counselor must be able to speak persuasively to groups, large and small, possess exceptional writing skills, work independently, be a self-starter, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, travel frequently, often work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.  This position is classified as exempt and Admission Counselors are expected to work more than forty hours per week in pursuit of the University’s enrollment goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage geographic territory – including visiting high schools, meeting with students and parents, articulating the benefits of a Quincy education, assisting students through the application and enrollment processes, helping families with the application for financial assistance.
  • Use various communication channels to build relationships with students, parents, guidance counselors and other influencers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting for assigned territory, including inquiries, applications, admits, commitments.
  • Maintain integrity of student data in CRM, and analyze student data to manage student recruitment within territory.
  • Participate in recruitment events on and off campus, including on-campus recruiting events, college fairs, visit high schools, community colleges and other events as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience with student recruitment and/or marketing preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
  • Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours in excess of 40 hours per week.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning how to effectively use technology to achieve recruitment goals.
