The human auditory system and sense of hearing is a fascinating complex of sensory cells and coordinated neural function between the cochlea and the auditory cortex. A brief review of the anatomy, normal function and abnormal function will be explored and some lesser known theories and facts about our sense of hearing from recent research.  Audio samples will be used to demonstrate these functions and have some fun with auditory illusions.
