Quincy University Faculty Published In Journal Of Rural Mental Health

QUINCY, IL – Dr. Andrea Fifield and Dr. Ken Oliver have been published in the Journal of Rural Mental Health. Their article, “Enhancing the Perceived Competence and Training of Rural Mental Health Practitioners”, outlines the pros and cons of rural practice, as well as issues related to competency and training of rural mental health practitioners. Results of the Rural and Small Community Counseling Needs Survey are highlighted, along with suggestions for counselor preparation programs and professional organizations.
