Quincy University to host homecoming weekend
Quincy University will host its annual Homecoming Weekend October 2-5, with numerous events planned for alumni, students and the community.
Festivities kick-off on Thursday, October 2 at 5:30 p.m. with the homecoming parade and the annual Balloon Glow featuring hot air balloons on Friar’s Field and many food and beverage vendors from 5:30 – 9 p.m. Hot air balloons will light up from 7:15 – 8:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Weekend events include favorites like QU Hawk tailgating and the homecoming football game on Saturday at 3 p.m., and Party on Penny Lane Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. Athletic events over Homecoming weekend include a baseball scrimmage on Friday, softball alumni game Saturday, sprint football game Sunday, and men’s and women’s soccer games Friday and Sunday.
Saturday evening, the annual Alumni Dinner recognizing the 2025 reunion classes will be held in the Hall of Fame Room. In addition, the university will recognize its Distinguished Alumni of the year and recipients of the Franciscan Service Award and Rising Hawk Award.
