Instructor/Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Quincy University, a Franciscan, Catholic, and liberal arts institution emphasizing the development of servant-leaders, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Criminal Justice. Criminal Justice is one of the top five enrollments by major at QU. The University has an active mock-trial program, and other avenues for student involvement with the discipline such as the Women in Law club, as well as numerous internship and service opportunities.
Responsibilities: QU is seeking qualified candidates to teach courses such as Foundations of Criminal Law, Contemporary Criminal Law and Procedure, Ethics, Justice, Diversity, Juvenile Delinquency, and/or other courses in their areas of expertise and interest. The usual teaching load is 4 courses each semester. Academic advising and committee work are expected after the first year.
Qualifications: A doctorate in Criminal Justice, Law, or related field is required. Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
Position Start Date: August 17, 2026.
Position Salary Range: $53,000 – $59,000

Seasonal Sprint Football Position Coach (Part-Time/Stipend Position)
Quincy University is seeking a motivated and energetic Seasonal Sprint Football Position Coach to assist with the development and instruction of student-athletes within the Sprint Football program. This part-time, stipend position will work directly with a designated position group and support the overall mission of Quincy University Athletics.
Responsibilities Include:
• Coach and develop student-athletes within an assigned position group.
• Assist with practice planning, drills, and game preparation.
• Teach position-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.
• Support student-athlete development both on and off the field.
• Assist with recruiting efforts as assigned.
• Participate in game-day operations and team activities.
• Comply with all University, conference, league, and athletics department policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Defensive Coordinator – Sprint Football
Quincy University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Defensive Coordinator for Sprint Football. This position reports directly to the Head Sprint Football Coach and is responsible for leading and developing the defensive unit while assisting in all aspects of operating a competitive sprint football program. The successful candidate will support the mission and values of Quincy University and contribute to the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a representative of Quincy University, displaying courtesy, professionalism, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with students, faculty, staff, alumni, recruits, and the public.
- Coordinate, develop, and implement all defensive strategies, game plans, and practice plans for the sprint football program.
- Coach and develop defensive student-athletes through position-specific instruction, skill development, and performance evaluation.
- Analyze game film, opponent tendencies, and scouting reports to prepare defensive game plans and make in-game adjustments.
- Assist the Head Coach with the recruitment, evaluation, and retention of qualified student-athletes who can succeed academically and athletically at Quincy University.
- Assist with monitoring the academic progress, retention, and eligibility of student-athletes while promoting academic success and personal development.
- Assist with scheduling opponents and coordinating game operations as directed by the Head Coach.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising team travel for competitions and recruiting activities.
- Assist with the promotion of the sprint football program through recruiting events, community engagement, alumni relations, social media initiatives, and other outreach activities.
- Assist with the planning, promotion, organization, and operation of Quincy University Sprint Football camps and clinics.
- Assist with the implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning programs designed to improve athletic performance and reduce injury risk.
- Abide by all policies, regulations, and rules of Quincy University, the applicable conference, and governing athletic associations, including the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Coaches.
- Monitor and enforce student-athlete compliance with team rules, university policies, and the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Student-Athletes.
- Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, coaching staff, athletic department personnel, and university constituents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Sprint Football Coach or Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Previous football coaching experience, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of defensive schemes, game planning, film analysis, and player development.

Assistant Coach – STUNT/Competitive Cheer
Quincy University seeks a motivated and energetic individual to serve as Assistant Coach for STUNT/Competitive Cheer. This position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful NCAA Division II STUNT/Competitive Cheer program, including coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, academic support, fundraising, and program administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as a representative of Quincy University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and professionalism in all interactions with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public.
• Abide by and uphold all regulations, policies, and procedures of the NCAA, Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), and Quincy University, including Quincy University Athletics policies.
• Monitor and enforce student-athlete compliance with the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Student-Athletes.
• Participate in continuing education and compliance training programs as required by the NCAA, GLVC, and Quincy University.
• Monitor the academic progress and retention of student-athletes and provide encouragement, support, and referrals to campus resources as needed.
• Assist with the recruitment of prospective student-athletes through travel to high school competitions, showcases, camps, clinics, and recruiting events, as well as maintaining relationships with high school and club coaches.
• Teach and develop student-athletes in the sport of STUNT/Competitive Cheer.
o Develop and implement effective teaching plans and training materials.
o Break down complex skills and techniques into clear and understandable instruction.
o Create and conduct drills, simulations, and competition-based training activities.
o Adapt coaching methods to accommodate varying skill levels and learning styles.
• Assist with team practices, competitions, conditioning programs, and player development.
• Assist with the promotion and marketing of the STUNT/Competitive Cheer program, including social media engagement and community outreach.
• Assist with fundraising efforts to support program initiatives and goals.
• Assist with scheduling contests and coordinating team travel.
• Assist with awarding athletic aid within budgetary limitations and university financial aid policies.
• Assist with roster management and recruiting efforts to support athletics enrollment and net tuition revenue goals.
• Assist with game-day and event operations, including setup, teardown, and facility maintenance.
• Coordinate and/or assist with all STUNT/Competitive Cheer camps and clinics.
• Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, faculty, staff, and administration.

Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach
The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach supports the leadership and daily operations of the men’s basketball program. This position is responsible for assisting in coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, compliance, academic monitoring, game preparation, and program administration in alignment with NCAA, conference, and University policies.
Responsibilities:

Admission Counselor
Quincy University invites qualified applicants for a full-time Admission Counselor position. Reporting to the Dean of Admission, the Admission Counselor plays an integral role in realizing the University’s overall enrollment goals through the recruitment of new students.
