Responsibilities: QU is seeking qualified candidates to teach courses in Composition, its co-requisite one-credit Writing Studio, literature, creative and technical writing, and related fields. The usual teaching load is 4 courses each semester. Academic advising and committee work are expected after the first year.

The successful applicants for these positions will work cooperatively with colleagues in disciplines representing the liberal arts and the professions. Collaboration with faculty in Quincy University’s Communication program will be an expectation of our new faculty colleagues in English. Both disciplines are housed in the School of Fine Arts & Communication.

Quincy University is committed to its English major and to advanced undergraduate instruction in the discipline. The successful applicants will play essential roles building enrollments through redesign of the English major.

Qualifications: Specialties in any area of literature or writing are welcome. Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged: (1) Catholic literature, including the Catholic literary canon; (2) rhetoric and composition, including business and administrative communication and science communication; (3) literature of the American Midwest.

A doctoral degree in English, or a related field, with college-level teaching is preferred. Candidates with at least a Master’s degree in English, or a related field, may qualify for hire with the conversion of the position to non-tenure track.

• Maintain the integrity of student data in CRM, and analyze student data to manage student recruitment within specific territory.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

The Candidate: Quincy University is seeking a Registrar professional who understands both the precision of the academic record and the broader institutional impact of the Registrar’s Office. Strong candidates will bring progressively responsible higher education experience, a command of registrar operations and FERPA, comfort with complex student information systems and data, and the ability to lead people and change with clarity and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in a Registrar’s Office, academic records, enrollment services, academic administration, or a closely related higher education function, including substantial responsibility for registrar functions.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of academic records, registration, grading, degree certification, academic policy administration, and FERPA.
• Experience with a student information system and demonstrated ability to work effectively with data, technology, reporting, and process improvement.
• Excellent judgment, communication, organizational, analytical, and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience with Jenzabar or a comparable enterprise SIS, in a functional leadership role; experience with related catalog, transfer-articulation, workflow, degree-audit, and/or National Student Clearinghouse technologies.
• Prior leadership experience at a private, comprehensive university.
• Engagement with AACRAO, IACRAO, or another Registrar/enrollment services professional association.
• Budget management experience.

Quincy University is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to join our Advancement team. This position may be performed remotely, with regular travel for donor and prospect meetings and periodic travel to the Quincy University campus as required. The Major Gifts Officer plays a key role in securing significant philanthropic investments to advance the strategic priorities of Quincy University.
This position is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors; developing a sustainable pipeline of future major gift prospects; and helping grow the University’s corporate partnership program. The Major Gifts Officer manages a portfolio of individuals, corporations, and other prospective funding partners and works collaboratively with University leadership, faculty, staff, and Advancement colleagues to align donor and partner interests with institutional priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage an active portfolio of approximately 100–150 major gift prospects and donors.
• Develop and implement strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts.
• Build strong personal relationships with prospects and donors through consistent and meaningful contact, including face-to-face meetings.
• Achieve established annual performance goals related to prospect qualification, donor visits, solicitations and proposals, major gift commitments, dollars raised, portfolio movement, corporate partnership development, and campaign pipeline growth.
• Lead the growth and development of Quincy University’s corporate partnership program.
• Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with businesses and corporate partners whose interests align with University priorities.
• Collaborate with academic leaders, Athletics, Career Services, and other campus partners to develop opportunities involving philanthropic support, program sponsorships, scholarships, student internships and experiential learning, workforce development initiatives, in-kind support, and other mutually beneficial relationships.
• Identify planned giving opportunities and work with Advancement leadership and appropriate advisors to incorporate current, deferred, and blended gift strategies when appropriate.
• Work with University leadership, faculty, and staff to understand institutional priorities and develop compelling philanthropic and corporate partnership opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of interactions with prospects and donors in the University’s donor database and prepare regular reports on portfolio activity and progress toward fundraising goals.
• Assist with Office of Advancement special events and other University activities.
• Represent Quincy University professionally and with courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with the University community and the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in major or planned gift fundraising, preferably in higher education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand institutional priorities and translate them into compelling philanthropic and partnership opportunities.
• Ability to develop and manage relationships across all levels of the University community.

Responsibilities:

• Serving as a counselor and advisor to students and their families as they consider options to finance a Quincy University education. One is expected to understand all federal, state, and University funding options.
• Student Financial Services counselors are expected to assist students with understanding and filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), explain the awarding process and ensure financial aid awards are delivered timely and accurately.
• All members of the staff are expected to develop expertise required to provide assistance in all areas of office operations.
