Opening: Quincy University, a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of English, specializing in American Literature.

Responsibilities: The hired candidate will teach the equivalent of four undergraduate sections per semester, including sections in the first-year composition program, surveys of American Literature, and upper-division literature courses, and maintain a level of scholarly and creative activity appropriate at an institution emphasizing high-quality teaching.

The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Academic advising, assisting with curricular development, program assessment, participation in faculty activities, and committee service are expected after the first year. Faculty are encouraged to engage students in undergraduate research opportunities

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in English, or related discipline, with college-level teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A generalist with expertise in American Literature and the ability to teach rhetorical writing, and/or literary/critical theory. Scholarly or teaching experience or interest in Catholic literature, Catholic intellectual traditions, or religion and literature is welcomed and considered a plus.

Responsibilities: The primary teaching area is in the field of management at the undergraduate and graduate level and business analytics at the undergraduate level. Topics currently taught at the undergraduate level include strategic management, principles of management, introduction to business analytics, analytics communication and management and predictive analysis topics. Topics at the graduate level would include leadership.

Qualifications: Ph.D., D.B.A., or other terminal degree in Management with educational background or experience with business analytics. MBA or ABD status for undergraduate-level teaching.

Responsibilities:
• Serves as a representative of the University, promoting QU’s mission, image and goals to colleagues and the community.
• Responsible for all activities related to merchandise. This includes meeting with vendors, establishing quantities to be ordered, receiving goods, and evaluating price mark ups and markdowns.
• Manage the on-line apparel store for Quincy University with the supplier. Work with Advancement on the sales of QU apparel items under our trademark licensing program.
• Develop promotional and marketing plans for the QU Hawk Shop that includes any pop-up stores for events.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and supervision of the bookstore staff. Ensures consistent use of all policies and procedures.
• Makes scheduling in order to meet sales and labor budgets
• Direct the receiving and stocking of all incoming shipments and preparations for any outgoing shipments.
• Analyze stores financials and make determination regarding positively impact future sales/expense opportunities. Plans and prepares for promotions.
• Establishes, enhances and maintains positive, responsive relationships with campus community. Seeks out new ways to collaborate with campus regarding selling opportunities.
• Coordinate with faculty and textbook materials representative to identify and obtain the ordering schedule and textbook/teaching material requirements.

•  Resolve booklist issues and coordinate sufficient textbook supplies with faculty and all vendors
• Coordinate with Registrar’s office on timelines for course and book adoptions.
• Communicate with Chairs and faculty on how to resolve ISBN issues.
• Oversee operations and customer service for on-line store and perform follow-ups with vendor for all online consumer issues.

• Participates in execution of store specific projects such as renovations and reorganizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5 years in management
• Strong customer skills, including superior relationship building skills

Salary: $40,000 to $48,000

• Maintain the integrity of student data in CRM, and analyze student data to manage student recruitment within specific territory.

Qualifications:
