Shelby Miller serves as the Instructor of Aviation at Quincy University, where he is committed to training the next generation of safe, professional pilots. Shelby holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate along with CFI, CFII, and MEI instructor certificates, bringing over 13,000 hours of flight time—including experience as an airline captain on the Airbus A320 with extensive international operations—to the classroom and flight line.
With extensive professional aviation experience, Shelby is passionate about helping students build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and safety mindset necessary for successful careers as pilots throughout their college journey and beyond. Outside of aviation instruction, Shelby remains an active airline captain and flight instructor, championing high standards in pilot training and collaborating with faculty and staff to strengthen Quincy University’s aviation program and student success initiatives.
