Shawn Dickerman serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Communication in Quincy University’s School of Fine Arts & Communication. He brings professional experience in broadcast marketing and multi-platform storytelling, supporting students as they build practical shooting, editing, and advertising skills for today’s media landscape.
A 1993 Quincy University graduate, Shawn started working at WGEM the same month he started college classes where he played in QU’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. Beginning in 2001, he began teaching Advanced Video Production and Principles of TV Production at Quincy University. In addition to teaching, Shawn is the Marketing Manager at WGEM (Gray Media), where he develops on-air and digital promotional messaging, coordinates community-focused campaigns and events, and partners with team members and external organizations to engage local audiences. He is a four-time NATAS Mid-America Regional Emmy Award nominee, as well as winning numerous national and state broadcast industry awards. At QU, he received the Quincy University Franciscan Service Award.
