Dr. Md Shakir Hossain is an electrical engineer and researcher with expertise in wireless communications, software-defined radio, RFID sensing, reconfigurable antenna systems, and machine learning applications for next-generation wireless systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, graduate training in Machine Learning Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

With experience as an instructor, teaching assistant, research assistant, and industry systems engineer, Dr. Hossain is committed to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments where students connect theory with practical engineering applications. He is also committed to mentoring undergraduate research teams, developing hands-on laboratory experiences, and advancing research in wireless systems, RFID sensing, medical sensing platforms, and AI-enabled communication technologies.
