Dr. Sagar Regmi is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Quincy University, where he directs a research lab focused on robotics, automation, and AI. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and brings extensive experience in off-road machine systems, computer vision, and agricultural sensing. Dr. Regmi has more than 5 years of university teaching experience across multiple institutes.
His research expertise includes multi-modal perception systems (combining stereo and multispectral sensors), deep learning pipelines for on-machine perception (semantic segmentation and CNN-based classification), UAV-based sensing, and embedded machine systems.
