Padraic Rohan studies and teaches across European, Islamic, and world history. After earning an engineering degree, he became a teacher in the California public schools, then founded and directed a nonprofit focused on wilderness adventure and environmental education. He later worked as a foreign correspondent reporting from Turkey, Syria, and Iraq. With this wealth of experience, he is committed to training students to think rigorously and to act rightly in service to humanity. His work has been supported by Fulbright and Mellon fellowships, and his current project investigates the medieval Genoese between the crusades and Columbus.
