David Landsom, PhD

Dr. Landsom is an Associate Professor/Coordinator of Special Education at Quincy University (QU). He has had long-term and extensive experience at QU, where he has taught a variety of courses in the area of special education and educational psychology. He has served as the primary advisor to students in special education and has supervised numerous student teachers in special and elementary education. As part of his commitment to aspiring educators, Dr. Landsom makes sure students within their earliest foundational coursework also receive practical connections through weekly observation/participation in local schools. Prior to coming to QU, Dr. Landsom spent several years as a special education teacher/coordinator in K-12 settings. His greatest satisfaction is supporting candidates in fulfilling their goals of becoming successful educators in K-12 settings.
