The high school musicians chosen to participate in this festival are from the tri-state area and were nominated by their band directors and selected in a competitive process. Participants will perform in a jazz band, participate in a clinic, and watch a performance by the QU Hawk Express Jazz Band at 2 p.m. under the direction of Dr. Christine Damm, DMA, dean of the school of fine arts and communication.
The event will culminate with a performance by the high school musicians at 5:00 p.m. Selections will include a wide variety of jazz genres.
