Dear Class of 2030 and New Transfer Students,
Welcome to Quincy University!
We are so excited you’ve chosen QU for this next step in your academic journey. Over the coming months—and especially in your first few weeks on campus—you’ll hear a lot about what it means to be part of the Hawk family. This is a time of new beginnings, and we are honored to support you. The Office of Student Development is working hard to prepare for your arrival in August 2026.
Orientation Program: Fall 2026
Quincy University’s orientation experience includes three required components:
- Online Orientation – Information will be provided after you have made a deposit.
- Hawk Bound – Your on-campus orientation day (choose from the dates below).
- On-Campus Orientation – A required, three-day program for all new students, held Thursday, August 20 – Saturday, August 22, from 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Hawk Bound: Fall 2026
Hawk Bound is designed to help you prepare for life as a Hawk. During Hawk Bound, you’ll meet classmates, connect with faculty and staff, and also learn about resources that will support your success at QU.
What to Expect at Hawk Bound:
- Sessions typically run 12:00–4:00 p.m., though students who need math placement testing or wish to take a campus tour may begin earlier.
- At Hawk Bound, students will:
- Receive housing placements (for residential students)
- Connect with student life, academics, and campus resources
Fall 2026 Hawk Bound Dates
- Friday, May 29
- Monday, June 8
- Monday, June 22
- Monday, July 6
- Monday, July 20
- Friday, July 24 (Virtual session — available only for students who live more than five hours away and cannot attend in person)
Specific event details will be sent to students who register.
Move-In Information
Below are the official move-in dates for new students. A specific check-in time will be emailed to you later this summer.

- Fall sports and band: Date to be determined
- Thursday, August 20 – All new students (excluding fall sports and band)
- Saturday, August 22 – Returning students move in
- Monday, August 24 – Classes begin
Check-in Times:
Students will receive their assigned check-in time in early summer or when they attend a Hawk Bound date.
