The Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences (BRCN), in partnership with Quincy University, offers a joint Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography that prepares students to use advanced imaging technology to support patient care and clinical decision-making. Students learn how to perform ultrasound procedures, work closely with healthcare teams, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a clinical setting.

Application Requirements

Interested students must submit the following materials to Quincy University:

  • Quincy University application and Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing (BRCN) application
  • Official high school transcripts
  • Official ACT or SAT scores (optional)

Once accepted to Quincy University, BRCN will review your application file and determine program acceptance. After successfully completing the freshman year, students begin Diagnostic Medical Sonography coursework and clinical experiences at Blessing-Rieman in their sophomore year. Enrollment is limited to 10 students.

Program Progression

  • Complete sonography prerequisite and general education courses at Quincy University
  • Begin sonography coursework and clinical experiences at the Blessing-Rieman College campus in the sophomore year
  • Practice skills in the Simulation Center and complete more than 1,200 hours of hands-on clinical experience
