Learning by Doing

Hands-on learning is at the core of this program, where students engage directly with the coursework to build practical, real-world skills. Through topics such as codes and ciphers, cryptology, database fundamentals, and information assurance, students develop a strong foundation in secure systems and data management. The curriculum also covers applied networks and security, network interconnection technologies, local area networks, and the fundamentals of network security, preparing students to analyze, design, and protect modern information and networked systems.

We encourage students to put their skills to work through internships that will also help them begin networking with potential employers.
