Assistant Professor of English
Opening: Quincy University, a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of English, specializing in American Literature.
Responsibilities: The hired candidate will teach the equivalent of four undergraduate sections per semester, including sections in the first-year composition program, surveys of American Literature, and upper-division literature courses, and maintain a level of scholarly and creative activity appropriate at an institution emphasizing high-quality teaching.
The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Academic advising, assisting with curricular development, program assessment, participation in faculty activities, and committee service are expected after the first year. Faculty are encouraged to engage students in undergraduate research opportunities
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in English, or related discipline, with college-level teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: A generalist with expertise in American Literature and the ability to teach rhetorical writing, and/or literary/critical theory. Scholarly or teaching experience or interest in Catholic literature, Catholic intellectual traditions, or religion and literature is welcomed and considered a plus.

Quincy, Illinois: Located in a tri-state area (Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa) on the banks of the Mississippi River, Quincy, Illinois is an affordable, family-friendly city of 40,000 residents with much to see and do! Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Opening: Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure track, 10-month faculty position in the School of Science and Technology. Core responsibilities include teaching College Algebra, the Calculus series, Discrete Math, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Differential Equations, Data Analysis, as well as advanced engineering mathematics.

Assistant Professor of Communication
Full-Time, Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the Oakley School of Business
Opening: Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Oakley School of Business.
Responsibilities: The primary teaching area is in the field of management at the undergraduate and graduate level and business analytics at the undergraduate level. Topics currently taught at the undergraduate level include strategic management, principles of management, introduction to business analytics, analytics communication and management and predictive analysis topics. Topics at the graduate level would include leadership.
Qualifications: Ph.D., D.B.A., or other terminal degree in Management with educational background or experience with business analytics. MBA or ABD status for undergraduate-level teaching.

Position Overview:
Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty in Electrical Engineering. The Engineering Program at Quincy University, composed of bachelor’s programs in both Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, was launched in Fall 2024 and is on schedule for ABET accreditation in AY 2028-2029. New laboratory and teaching spaces have been constructed as part of a $4.2 million facilities remodeling project. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, curriculum development, academic integrity, scholarly research, and mentoring students in a close-knit academic environment.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include teaching the equivalent of a 4:4 load of undergraduate courses and labs within the Electrical Engineering curriculum, such as digital logic, circuits, digital systems, analog systems, microprocessors, electricity and magnetism, signal processing, electromechanical control systems, and quantum mechanics, in addition to overseeing capstone design projects. Additional responsibilities will include developing new courses, engaging in scholarly research (ideally involving undergraduate students), advising, contributing to departmental and university service, and actively contributing to the ABET accreditation process.
Required Qualifications:
- D. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program
- A demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching, advising, and mentoring
- A proven track record of high-quality scholarly research, and a desire to involve undergraduates in research
- A strong commitment to ethics and academic integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An appreciation for the merits of liberal arts education, including interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning
- Familiarity with the ABET accreditation process and a commitment to participate therein
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience as Instructor of Record at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Prior research as part of a recognized, externally-funded research program
- Prior experience working in industry or for a national lab
- Current PE license
- Prior experience and participation in the ABET accreditation process

Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach
Quincy University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach.
Position Summary
The Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach supports all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program, including coaching, recruiting, academic oversight, fundraising, and compliance. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and must adhere to all NCAA, conference, and University regulations.
Essential Responsibilities
• Assist with coaching, training, and recruiting qualified student-athletes
• Travel for recruiting and team competition
• Monitor academic progress and promote student-athlete success
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, GLVC, and University policies
• Assist with fundraising initiatives, camps, and booster engagement
• Help manage program budget and maintain equipment
• Coordinate with Admissions, faculty, and Sports Information
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Qualifications

Offensive Line- Assistant Sprint Football Coach
Quincy University is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Sprint Football Coach to support the development, performance, and overall success of the sprint football program. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a representative of Quincy University, demonstrating courtesy, tact, and discretion in all interactions with students, staff, and the public.
- Assist the Head Coach with the training, coaching, and development of assigned student-athletes.
- Support scouting and recruitment efforts for qualified student-athletes.
- Promote the sprint football program both internally and externally.

Admission Counselor
