Area high school students are invited to attend the Illinois Regional College Fair on Oct. 8 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Quincy University Health and Fitness Center, located at 20th and Oak streets.
Representatives from 33 in-state and out-of-state public and private institutions will offer information to high school students on academic programs, financial aid packages and extracurricular activities. QU Financial aid representatives will be on hand so parents and students can ask questions about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The event provides local students with a valuable opportunity to connect with distant colleges before committing to travel for campus visits. Hosted by Quincy University in partnership with John Wood Community College, the fair rotates host sites every two years, with Quincy University hosting both this year and next.
The Illinois Regional College Fair is sponsored by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling and is held in cooperation with area high schools and John Wood Community College. The Illinois Regional College Fair is free and open to the public.
This is a StriveScan fair. Students are encouraged to download the app https://app.strivescan.com/registration before attending the fair. For more information, contact Tammy Duesterhaus at 217-228-5301.
