Parents of high school students can learn how to navigate college admissions and financial aid during a free Quincy University workshop at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in Francis Hall.
The Quincy University Admissions Department will present “College 101: A How-To for Parents,” featuring sessions designed to clarify the college search process. Participants will learn best practices for conducting college searches and how college can be affordable.
“College 101 offers parents college search best practices, FAFSA updates, and state/federal aid opportunities,” said Justin Ray, MSE, dean of admissions. “Parents will leave the evening with an even deeper understanding of how to best support their students through the college search process.”
Sessions will include information on how to navigate the changing landscape of higher education, including financial aid. These sessions are ideal for parents of first-generation college students.
“College 101: A How-To for Parents” is designed for parents of any high school student, not just for parents of students who are coming to QU. Admissions and Student Financial Services professionals will be on hand to answer questions.
