Since the end of the COVID pandemic, the 2020s have been a great decade for enrollment at Quincy University.
Quincy University brought 310 freshman students to campus for Fall 2026. This newest class is the third-largest freshman cohort at QU since 1992 and is nearly identical in size to the 313 students of the freshman class for Fall 2025. When this year’s freshman class is combined with 86 new transfer students, almost 400 new students have come to QU for Fall 2026.
From Fall 2022 to the present – for the first time in over 30 years — Quincy University has had over 300 students in four of its last five freshman classes.

With an average GPA of 3.56 and an average SAT score of 1134, QU’s freshman class has an academic profile similar to those reported for other recent classes at the university. Many new and continuing students continue to benefit from QU’s Illinois Tuition Promise, which helps make QU affordable for Illinois residents with significant financial need.
The class of 2030 comes to QU from 32 states and seven countries. Most students at Quincy University are residents of Illinois and Missouri, as has been true throughout the history of the university.
QU’s freshman class enrollment record for the last 50 years was set in Fall 2023, when over 327 freshmen came to QU. Those students from Fall 2023 are now seniors and will become the Quincy University graduating class of 2027.
