QU to Honor Military Veterans and Active Military at Football Home Opener

Quincy University (QU) invites all military veterans and active military to the QU football game against Roosevelt University at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at QU Stadium, 20th and Sycamore.

“At Quincy University, we believe in the importance of service and community, and Military Appreciation Day gives us an opportunity to put those values into action,” said Jackson Day, coordinator of athletic marketing and promotions. “We are grateful for the men and women who have served our country and for the sacrifices made by their families. We hope this day allows our student-athletes, students and entire Quincy community to come together and show our appreciation for those who have given so much in service to others.”

All veterans and active-duty military members will be granted free admission to the QU football game.

There will be special recognition of military veterans and active military in attendance during halftime following the performances by the dance team, cheer squad and band.
