Quincy University’s Oakley School of Business hosted an awards ceremony

Quincy University’s Oakley School of Business hosted an awards ceremony on April 23 in the Hall of Fame Room in the QU Health and Fitness Center. Faculty in the Oakley School of Business presented awards and recognized students for their achievements this past academic year.

SIGMA BETA DELTA HONOR SOCIETY
This year, three business students from the Oakley School of Business at Quincy University were accepted into the prestigious Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. Sigma Beta Delta is an international honor society for business, management and administration. The society recognizes outstanding academic achievement, specifically among juniors, seniors, and MBA students who rank in the top twenty percent of their classes.

Five business students are awarded the Certificate of Performance Excellence. Each year seniors take the nation-wide Educational Testing Service (ETS) Business Major Field Test. The Oakley School of Business honors students who score at or above the 90th percentile on this nation-wide test given to approximately 340 institutions and over 68,000 individuals. Scoring at or above the 90th percentile on this exam is truly an outstanding achievement.
