Dr. Kristina Mouzakis serves as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Quincy University, where she is committed to helping students understand the complex dynamics of human behavior. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Social/Personality Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, bringing advanced expertise in individual differences and psychological research to her work.
With over a decade of experience in higher education, Kristina is passionate about instructing diverse human behavior courses such as Social Psychology , Health Psychology, Human Sexuality, and Culture Psychology, as well as specialized seminars like Cults, Witch-hunts, & Other Deviant Behaviors. Her own research explores the intersection of personality and daily activities, and she is dedicated to mentoring undergraduate students through hands-on research projects. She has supervised student research into a wide array of topics, including the effects of music on academic achievement, the relation between attachment styles and pet ownership, and the physiological impacts of stress on decision-making. Outside of the classroom, Kristina champions the field of psychology as a local representative for the Midwestern Psychological Association.
