Jamie Friye is an attorney and educator with nearly two decades of experience in public service and the legal field. Her professional background includes work as a prosecutor with the Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office, a child welfare attorney with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, and a senior staff attorney with Land of Lincoln Legal Aid. Her practice has focused extensively on juvenile law, family law, victim advocacy, and underserved populations.

In addition to her legal career, Jamie teaches criminal justice courses at Quincy University, where she brings real world courtroom and advocacy experience into the classroom. Her teaching interests include victimology, criminal law, and criminal behavior, with an emphasis on critical thinking, ethical decision making, and the intersection of law and human behavior.

Jamie is passionate about mentoring students and helping them connect academic concepts to practical applications in the justice system. Her professional and teaching experiences provide students with insight into the realities of criminal justice practice, courtroom procedure, and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
