Where Campus and Community Connect
Quincy University is proud to be an active and engaged partner in the Quincy community. Our campus is more than a place for learning—it is a shared space where neighbors are welcome to connect, participate, and take advantage of select University resources. Community members are invited to engage with Quincy University through a variety of campus offerings and events, while experiencing the welcoming spirit and strong sense of community that define QU.
Access to Campus Resources
Athletics
Quincy University athletic events bring together students, alumni, and community members to celebrate Hawk pride. We invite our neighbors to join us in cheering on the Hawks, supporting student-athletes, and sharing in the excitement of game day as part of the Quincy community.
Library
Brenner Library is a valuable resource for both the Quincy University campus and the surrounding community. Community members are welcome to explore the library’s collections, study spaces, and learning resources, offering a quiet and supportive environment for research, reading, and lifelong learning. The Gray Gallery, also located in Brenner Library, has a professional exhibition schedule each academic year which includes exhibitions by nationally-noted and regional artists. These artists often lecture, demonstrate, and present workshops for students and the community in conjunction with their exhibition at the gallery. Note: After 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, access is limited to students and employees with a QU access card.
Continuing Education
The Pursuit of Learning in Society (POLIS) organization, sponsored by Quincy University, allows active, retired adults to continue a lifetime of learning while relaxing in a comfortable academic setting with those your own age. Choose from a dozen or more engaging courses attended by retirees and taught by university professors, field experts, religious leaders, and researchers.
Health and Fitness
The Quincy University Health and Fitness Center offers community members opportunities to stay active and support their overall well-being. With access to fitness equipment and wellness spaces, the Center provides a welcoming environment for healthy living. Membership fees apply for community use.
Worship and Mass
St. Francis Solanus Chapel is a welcoming place for prayer, reflection, and worship for both the Quincy University campus and the wider community. Community members are invited to join us for Mass and other liturgical celebrations, offering a space to gather in faith, find spiritual support, and connect with the Franciscan tradition that shapes Quincy University.
