First Time Freshman Application Process
A First-Time Freshman is a student who has recently graduated from high school and has not yet enrolled full-time at any college or university.
- Submit a completed First Time Freshman QU Application or First Time Freshman Common App
- Request your official high school transcript- have your transcript sent to QU Admissions
- Request your official ACT or SAT scores- have your test scores sent to QU Admissions (QU’s College Board code: ACT 1120 or SAT 1645)
- Test Optional students will receive a writing prompt from their admissions counselor
- If applicable, have your Advanced Placement (AP) test scores sent to Quincy University (QU’s College Board code: 1645).
- A personal statement and/or letters of recommendation may be required at the discretion of the Office of Admissions and/or the Admissions Committee
Transfer Student Application Process
A transfer student is a student who has completed college-level coursework after graduating from high school and is seeking to continue their education at Quincy University. This includes students who have attended a community college or another college or university.
- Submit a completed Transfer QU Application or Transfer Common App
- Request your official college/university transcripts from each institution attended- have your transcript(s) sent to QU Admissions
- Request your official high school transcript if you’ve completed less than 60 college credit hours at the time of your application process – have your transcript sent to QU Admissions
- A personal statement and/or letters of recommendation may be required at the discretion of the Office of Admissions and/or the Admissions Committee
Partnership with Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences
Partnering with Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing (BRCN) and Health Sciences, Quincy University offers the bachelor of science degree in Nursing, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Science, and Respiratory Care.
- Submit a completed QU’s First Time Freshman or Transfer Application
- Follow the steps toward First Time Freshman or Transfer admission
- Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences (BRCN) will connect with you upon your admission to QU
- Please note – Your QU application also serves as your BRCN application. It is important to complete your application in full and indicate which of the Health Sciences majors you plan to pursue.
Non-Degree Seeking Undergraduate Process
A non-degree seeking undergraduate student is a student who enrolls in coursework at Quincy University without the intention of earning a degree. These students may take courses for professional development, personal enrichment, or to meet specific requirements, but are not formally admitted to a degree program.
- Submit a completed Undergraduate Non-Degree Seeking Application
- Request your official transcript from your high school and/or college – have your transcript(s) sent to QU Admissions
Undergraduate Readmission Application Process
A readmit student is a former Quincy University student who did not enroll for one or more semesters and is now seeking to return to the University to continue their academic program. Readmission is required before enrolling again.
- Submit a completed Undergraduate Readmission Application
- Request any official college/university transcripts from each institution attended after leaving QU
- A personal statement may be required at the discretion of the Office of Academic Affairs and/or Office of Admissions

Non-Degree Seeking Graduate Process
A non-degree seeking graduate student is a student who enrolls in coursework at Quincy University without the intention of earning a degree. These students may take courses for professional development, personal enrichment, or to meet specific requirements, but are not formally admitted to a degree program. Students seeking post-baccalaureate certificates should also use this application.

- Request your official college/university transcripts from each institution attended- have your transcript(s) sent to QU Admissions
