QU Symphonic Band to Present Wind Band Concert

QU Symphonic Band will present a concert featuring wind band music at 3 p.m. on March 1, at the Connie Niemann Center for Music located at QU’s North Campus, 17th & Seminary Road.

The concert will feature a wide variety of music by wind band heavyweights such as Frank Ticheli and Robert W. Smith. Selections will include “Joy Revisited” by Ticheli, “Ireland: Of Legend and Lore” and “Encanto” by Smith, and audience (and student) favorite “Melodious Thunk” by David Biedenbender. Come out and enjoy a short program of fantastic music!

The QU Symphonic Band is under the direction of Bill Machold, MM, assistant professor of music and director of bands.
