Dean, School of Education
Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts university in the Franciscan tradition, is seeking a Dean of the School of Education.  This is a 12-month administrative appointment, possibly with tenure and faculty rank, starting July 2014.  The Dean will foster the School’s commitment to academic excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels; work collaboratively to maintain and develop online and degree-completion programs in addition to traditional degree programs; and ensure compliance with all Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Ed.D or Ph.D.; K-12 teaching /administrative experience.  Preferred Qualifications: Successful teaching, scholarship, and service in higher education; successful administrative experience in higher education at the level of department chair or higher; familiarity with Illinois Licensure requirements. The successful candidate will have a collaborative and inclusive management style; excellent oral and written communications skills; the ability to build and maintain relationships and partnerships; organizational skills and attention to details; the highest level of personal integrity; and willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university.

Network Administrator
Quincy University seeks qualified applicants for a full-time Network Administrator. Responsibilities include: Configures, maintains and administers all components of the campus network infrastructure; participates in the configuration, maintenance, software, and administration of University servers, lab computers, and desktop systems; assists with the security of university systems and infrastructure against potential threats both internal and external; maintains University VOIP telephone network. Experienced with network, Linux, and Windows administration; experience with virtual servers; organizational and analytic skills. Previous experience with CISCO networking and VMWare desirable.

Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
