QU Senior Class to Host Wine and Cheese Event
Quincy University’s Class of 2022 will be hosting the Roaring 20s Gala – a wine and cheese-tasting event, on Friday, May 6, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room located in the Health and Fitness Center (18th and Oak).
Included in the price of a ticket are three complimentary wine tastings of your choice as well as a commemorative wine glass. Bottles and full glasses will be available for purchase. Water, lemonade, and refreshments will be provided free of charge. Patrons are also encouraged to participate in a silent auction by bidding on baskets donated by various campus divisions, student clubs, and local businesses.
As part of an annual “Senior Class Gift,” graduating seniors are asked to create and develop an initiative to raise funds for a targeted project or contribution to the university as a senior class legacy. Fueled by the desire to create a welcoming environment for all, the 2022 graduates are hosting this wine and cheese event to raise money for the development of a QU International and Diversity Center. All proceeds from this event will benefit the 2022 Senior Gift.
Tickets for this event are $20 ($10 for QU students, $15 for QU faculty and staff), and attendees must be 21 years or older to attend. Tickets can be purchased in the QU advancement office (room B-37), through a Senior Gift Committee member or by contacting Anna Peters at petersan@quincy.edu.
