Quincy University is proud to announce that it was recently ranked in the top 25 safest schools in Illinois in a Niche survey published on RebootIllinois.com. The survey studied more than 1,600 schools in the country, comparing campus crime rates and drug and alcohol related arrests.

In a list of decision-making factors of choosing a college, some people believe that campus safety should be added to the list. For parents sending their kids off to college, campus safety is a top concern.

“As a parent I think that that would make you have some level of assurance that your child is in a safe environment,” QU Safety and Security Director Sam Lathrop said. “That they are going to be cared for and looked after while they’re here with us.”
