Quincy University’s Robert Lee Mejer, distinguished professor of art, has received recognition for three art exhibitions nationwide. Henry Moy, director of the Museum of the Red River in Idabel, Oklahoma selected Mejer’s works for exhibition in the Illinois State Fair-Professional Art Exhibition that took place August 10-20, 2017. Mejer received third place for his watercolor, Variant: Mappings III, and took an Honorable Mention for his graphite drawing, “Newborn: Spatial Delight” in the Professional Division.

Mejer is currently exhibiting his recent watercolor, “Symphony of Shapes” received an Honorable Mention in the 2017 Annual/National Members Show of the Illinois Watercolor Society at the Bloomingdale Museum in Bloomgindale, IL. The exhibition runs August 5 – September 9, 2017.

Internationally recognized California artist/juror Katherine Chang Liu selected Mejer’s watercolor, “Take PC #6”, for exhibition in the San Diego Watercolor Society (SDWS) 37TH International Exhibition. Mejer was 1 of 95 artists selected from over 22 countries and awarded the D.A. Agostini award.
