QU Displays "Honor Tree" in Honor of Veterans Day Receives Grant to Create an Academic Success Center

Quincy University will be honoring service members and veterans throughout the month of November with an “Honor Tree.”  Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to tie a ribbon or a message to the tree as a silent way of thanking and paying tribute. Colorful ribbons will adorn the tree located in Francis Hall throughout the entire month of November. Each ribbon signifies a “thank you.”

White Ribbon – in memory of a family member or friend who lost his/her life in service
Blue Ribbon - in honor of a family member who is currently serving
Yellow Ribbon – general support and thanks to all veterans and service members
Black Ribbon – in recognition of a POW/MIA service member
Purple Ribbon – in honor of Purple Heart recipients
