POLIS: Not Even Past: Race, Religion, and History in William Faulkner’s Short Fiction

In this course, we will look at Faulkner’s short stories with a particular focus on his treatment of race and religion in the south. This will include a close look at Faulkner’s texts as well as the social and historical contexts of his work. We will also explore what Faulkner has to tell us in 2017.
This class is $8; held on Feb. 22 and Mar. 1.
