Katie Nimitz is in her first season (2017-18) as a graduate assistant coach with the Quincy women’s soccer program. She will focus on training the QU goalkeepers and will assist in every aspect of the program, including training, recruiting, academics and travel.

Nimitz recently graduated from Division II Lynn (Fla.) University, playing goalkeeper for the Fighting Knights.

Nimitz has extensive coaching experience, working with Sol FC of the Women’s Premier Soccer League in Jacksonville, Fla. in the last two summers. She has also coached and been a camp director and soccer trainer at Beast Mode Soccer, working alongside United States Women’s National Team players Alex Morgan and Kelley O’Hara and English National Team player Rachel Daly.

She has also been an assistant camp director and staff coach with USWNT player Morgan Brian. Nimitz is a five-year staff coach with SoccerPlus, a circuit of camps founded by former USWNT head coach Tony DiCicco.

Nimitz has earned NSCAA Levels 1, 2 and 3 Goalkeeping Diplomas and is planning to complete her advanced national diploma in the fall. She has attained E and F licenses from U.S. Soccer and will finish her D license in December.

She graduated from Lynn with a 4.0 GPA and will pursue her Master of Science in Education Counseling at Quincy.
