Siobhan Doucette is an adjunct Assistant Professor of History who teaches courses in world and European history. Dr. Doucette’s research focuses primarily on East Central Europe in the 20th century with a broad emphasis on human rights, civil resistance, and censorship. Her first book, Books Are Weapons: The Polish Opposition Press and the Overthrow of Communism was published in 2018 by University of Pittsburgh Press. She has published articles in The Polish Review, Nationalities Papers and has a forthcoming article in Contemporary European History. Dr. Doucette is a Massachusetts native who enjoys travel and time spent with her daughter and husband.
