Siobhan Doucette is an Assistant Professor of History who teaches courses in world and European history. Dr. Doucette’s research focuses primarily on East Central Europe in the 20th century  with a broad emphasis on human rights, civil resistance, and censorship. Her first book, Books Are Weapons: The Polish Opposition Press and the Overthrow of Communism was published in 2018 by University of Pittsburgh Press. She has published articles in The Polish Review, Nationalities Papers and has a forthcoming article in Contemporary European History. Dr. Doucette is a Massachusetts native who enjoys travel and time spent with her daughter and husband.
